Sabine Mirlesse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and English Literature from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and additionally studied for one year at the Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She is a recent graduate of the Master of Fine Arts in Photography and Related Media program at Parsons the New School for Design in New York City. Her photographic work has been the subject of features in The British Journal of Photography, Burn,RearViewMirror, VISION, GUP guide to unique photography, Dossier and Le Monde's M magazine.
Sabine writes for The Paris Review, BOMB, Art in America and WhiteHot Contemporary Art among other journals She was nominated once again this year for World Press Photo's annual Joop Swart Masterclass 2012, after having also received the nomination in 2009 and 2011.
