I am a London-based fine artist working mainly with the photographic medium, specialising in the representation of cultural identity.My work combines aspects of photojournalism and artistic portraiture: “Family”, “culture”, “territory”, “identity” and “human geography” are fundamental points of my artistic practice.
I am interested in developing my art in Armenia as it is a country with a peculiar history and a strong sense of identity.
I will focus of portraiture and I would like to create a relationship with local population and explore how the differences in human and physical geography affect individuals’ cultural identity.
The residency at ACOSS would help me to expand the portfolio of countries I have worked in, broadening my experience as fine artist who combines different genres of photography.
